I ride is to honor my babies both living and sleeping. I ride to honor the precious souls in my family that did not cross over and for all those who did not survive the middle passage. I ride to honor the families that I have walked alongside during the most difficult time of loss. As a midwife it is my responsibility to capture stories, elevate voices of the unheard, and hold systems and structures accountable for the generational harm inflicted on my community.
